SAT II TESTING

SATII SUBJECT TESTS – Available in 22 different subjects. These multiple-choice tests are an-hour long, specific subject tests, measuring student knowledge and ability in specific subjects.

Purpose of test:
  • Students take the SATII subject tests to satisfy the application guidelines of competitive colleges or as supplementary material for college course placement. While most colleges require students to take two separate subject tests, the more competitive ones ask for three different subject tests. Students should check with colleges to confirm the number and specific subject tests that are required for admission.

When do you take it?

The SAT II subject tests are available in: May, June, October, November and December of each year. Students have to register through the College Board to take the tests at approved test centers. Each test-date has a specific registration deadline.

OUR PROGRAM

WHY TAKE THE SATII SUBJECT TESTS?

Even if a college does not require SATII subject tests as an admissions requirement, these tests can highlight or provide proof of a student’s academic strength in various subjects. Students who take AP level courses should take the SATII subject tests to stand out as academically strong candidates.

SAT II SUBJECT TEST TUTORIALS:

Students in our COLLEGE BOUND PROGRAM take their SATII subject tests in June of their junior year and again if they need to in November or December of their senior year. Each student meets with our counselor to determine what tests to take and when.

Class size is limited to 8-10 students and tutorials are offered in:
  • Math IC – This test covers principles of algebra and geometry
  • Math IIC – This test covers algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics
  • Physics
